I can't praise it enough - and also struggle to describe it. Clearly it is very kid friendly, but it doesn't feel like that is all there is to it. It actually felt rather grown up and relaxing, and that was the ambience that came across rather than it being all about the kids. I suspect it was because the kids were so well catered for that it meant they didn't need to be demanding attention from their parents. And, on the whole, all the kids there were extremely well behaved.
The adults only spa area was a perfect haven too (and yes, I did pop for a treatment - it would have been rude not to!). This was actually in the interconnected sister hotel next door, that also has a posh bar and restuarant we could use if we had chosen to. As it happened the food we got was so good we didn't feel the need to go next door - whilst the kids buffet catered more than happily for every childs needs and we got served some rather delicious grown up style food alongside it which kept everybody happy.
We were rather lucky in that I think we got one of the best rooms in the hotel. I'd chosen a Kitzsteinhorn apartment for us, which were in a seperate building to the main hotel connected via an underground tunnel (which we used rather a lot given the rain!). Ours was the left hand 1st floor balcony...

So, would I go back to Hotel Hagleitner? Certainly. Would I go back to another Kinderhotel for either skiing or in the summer? Definitely. Would I recommend either to anyone that has 1 or more children under the age of 8 or so? Absolutely!
