Some Sale history

I've lived in or near Sale for over 8 years, and only found out today that the physicist James Joule both lived and was buried here. Given I'm a phyisics graduate I feel I should have worked this out previously, particularly as I've spent several evenings drinking in the J.P.Joule pub in the past! Duh!!!!
